The Regent showing occurs in an area underlain by andesitic volcanics of the Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group, near the contact with a marine sedimentary and volcanic package of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group.

Grab samples 4145394 and 4145395 are from a siliceous area within the andesite package and assayed 130 and 60 parts per billion gold, 3.6 and 1.6 parts per million silver, and 0.2 per cent and 77 parts per million copper respectively (Assessment Report 19742). A trace of malachite was noted in sample 4145394.

In 1989, Pezgold conducted a program of prospecting, limited geological mapping, rock sampling (24 samples) on its Regent 1-4 and Queen claims.

In 2006 and 2007, Hathor Exploration Ltd. completed a 7228.7 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey on the area as the Julian claims of the Iskut project. In 2008, Max Minerals Ltd. examined the property.
